Summer? Fake it!

Mid 70's with a chance of sun is Summer in Washington for ya! You cant rely on mother nature. Here's a few ways to fake that summer look. First of all, get a tan! You can hit the beds but I prefer a little self tanner. Whether it be at home or in a salon, get a glow going. A little bronzer goes a long way too. Bright colors are always a nice touch a on the nails. If you have issues with polish chipping, try Schellac. I have had great success with this gel-based polish. There's no dry time and it lasts for two weeks! And last, but certainly not least, what to do with your hair. Want beach hair? Spray in a salt water based product. My fav is Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray. Apply to damp hair and let air dry or diffuse depending on the natural amount of wave in your hair. It gives nice separation and texture. If you you swim in chlorine or salt water, shampoo with Kerastase Bain Apres Soliel. It will remove buildup without stripping your color or drying out your hair. Balyage highlights brighten up your hair with less maintenance that foils. These hand painted highlights not only look more natural, they last up to 12 weeks! That's about how long our summer is here in the Puget Sound! So here's to summer! Soak up as much vitamin D as you can!
