Christina & Kyle Married!

Christina and Kyle were wed at Tacoma's Landmark Convention Center. They were photographed at nearby Wright Park and at The Temple Theater. We decided to show off Christina's sweet face by sweeping her hair off to the side. Young and fun, just like her!

Why Wash? Use Dry Shampoo!

Free yourself from daily shampooing. It's a waist of time and dries out your hair and scalp. With the use of dry shampoos, your hair can look fresh for days! They absorb excess oil and add body and texture to your style. Apply section by section at your roots and massage in and you're good to go. It's like a shower in a bottle! Now not all dry shampoos are created equal. You have to find the one that works for you. Here are a few I've used and stand behind.

My favorite is Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder. It comes in different colors to match your own and aerosols make for easy application. It has a powerful spray, so apply it away from your scalp. It's easy to overdo it, a little goes a long way! I love it in updos!

Schwartzkof Osis+ Dust It Mattifying Powder has a lot of bang for your buck! Don't underestimate this tiny shaker. This powder adds a ton of texture to your hair. Great for backcombing! It's translucent, so it works for all hair colors. It's the perfect size for your purse.

Ojon Rub Out Dry Cleanser is a traditional Dry Shampoo. It has a great fragrance and leaves the hair feeling clean. It does not alter your texture and is very user friendly aerosol. It's clear, so again great for all hair colors.

Mayuri & Kunaal, A Hindu Wedding

I was so excited for this unique wedding! I have developed a great relationship with the Mayuri and her mom Hema over the years. Their family is from India. It was fun experiencing their cultural traditions. Hindu weddings involve a significant amount of detail and are very colorful. To prepare for the ceremony, Mayuri had her body decorated in henna and her face adorned with jewels. She wore a sari for her wedding and a different gown for the reception. We did two different styles to compliment each look. Her groom, Kunaal, rode in on a horse! This was all held at Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma, WA. My favorite part was the couples surprise dance to a mix of Micheal Jackson, Beyonce and Bollywood Hindi film music. Check out their entertaining first dance video below!
