Doing The Extraordinary

"What matters is what we DO!"

The moment I was asked to style for the Do The Extraordinary Athletic Apparel, I was like... Done! I am so in agreement with what they are about and stand behind them all the way! 10% of every dollar spent on DTE apparel is donated to a nonprofit dedicated to making a positive impact in our world. They have partnered with Stop Child Trafficking Now to bring awareness about the growing crime, Sex Trafficking. A portion of the proceeds of the DTE Red With Love Campaign goes towards SCTNOW.ORG. Awareness breeds action.
I didn't realize what a wild ride I signed up for, but so glad I did! I had a blast doing hair out of cars and on top of mountains! It was a great time working with the talented Latasha Haynes Photography, Makeup Artist Isabel Boyd, LightSaltFilms, and others that came along for the rides. The models were all super cool. Check out these video blogs of our adventures!

Do The Extraordinary

"DTE is a stylish, urban athletic apparel line, with designs by Blayne Walsh, and co-founded by 2005 NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, that exists to encourage, inspire, unite, and invest in the Extraordinary causes of so-called ordinary people.
On the surface we are a company founded by Justin Kercher and Shaun Alexander, and we are developing a athletic apparel line. At our CORE we are working to create a brand that stands for all that is GOOD in us! We are a generation with SO much possibility and we felt like it was time for a brand to rise up that represents that possibility.
What we want, is to inspire our generation to go after something GREAT, both individually and as a whole. We believe its possible to change the mind set of a whole generation and a whole world to live for something bigger than ourselves. We have SO much potential. What matters is what we DO. Its sounds grand, but ideas can change the world."

Kristina & Tristan Married!

I have been doing Kristina and her mom, Grace's hair for years. I was so excited the day she told me she was engaged! On her wedding day, her sweet dad was there taking pictures while I styled Kristina. He was so happy that his one and only little girl was getting married, he could barely hold back the tears. Her white flower was the right touch in her romantic updo. Kristina & Tristan were married at Rock Creek Gardens in Puyallup, WA. It was a beautiful day great details. I loved their custom bobble head cake toppers from The Younique Boutique and their wish tree. Check out these amazing photos by Indigo Portrait Studios.

Congratulations Kristina & Tristan!
